Kuanita Evette Murphy is a native of Cuthbert (Randolph County), Georgia.
She graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1997. Her concentrations include:

Murphy also graduated from Valdosta State University with a Masters of Arts Degree in History. Currently, she is pursing a Doctor of Management Degree in Organizational Leadership through the University of Phoenix.
